Native Driver

The Native driver allows importing data into standard WordPress objects like Posts, Pages, and any registered Custom Post Types (CPT) without needing third-party plugins.

Core Fields

post_status	Select	publish, draft, pending, private
post_date	Date	Creation date (YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS)
post_author	User	Author ID, email, or login username
post_name	Text	The URL slug (automatically generated if empty)
post_password	Text	Password for protected posts
menu_order	Number	Order for hierarchical types (like Pages)
post_parent	ID	ID of the parent post (for hierarchy)
comment_status	Select	open or closed
ping_status	Select	open or closed

Taxonomies

The Native driver automatically detects all registered taxonomies for the selected post type.

• Categories (category): Map names, slugs, or IDs. Multiple values supported.
• Tags (post_tag): Map names, slugs, or IDs. Multiple values supported.
• Custom Taxonomies: Any public custom taxonomy registered to the post type.

Media Handling

Featured Image

Map a URL to the _thumbnail_id field. UMIE will:

1. Download the image
2. Upload it to the Media Library
3. Set it as the Featured Image for the post
